At times, the world can be a scary and dark place. In the real world you will be faced with many people who obviously are overcome by this world. The best survivors know how to not let negativity get them down. They are able to see outside the box and find hope for the future. There is a lot to say about a person, who can face overwhelming circumstances and come out with a smile on their face. Truthfully people with positive attitudes tend to be more successful and have more friends. No one wants to be around a negative Nancy, and if you want to show the real world who’s boss, make sure your attitude radiates positivity.
Most people in your work place have no idea about your life. They have no idea of things that are going on in your life outside of what you tell them. So, your attitude is your first impression. The vibes you give off are what people use to determine who you are and whether they want to continue to be around you. Unless they are miserable themselves, most people don’t want to be around a negative person. Like a vampire, negativity is draining.
Negativity often comes from a place of unhappiness. Truthfully we all become unhappy at some point and we all become uncomfortable too. Just like positive vibes, negatives vibes are contagious. If you are constantly spreading something something, that makes others feel bad, then you’ll eventually have no one to spread anything to. So, how do you overcome downed vibes?
Whether you are having a bad day or around someone having a series of bad days, recognize that you have control over your attitude. You, and you alone have control over how you feel and how you act. Learn to channel that energy and use it for good! It’s okay to have a down day but, never take that out on people around you. Most importantly, recognize if the people around you start pulling away. If your friends start to leave you, then it’s probably time re-evaluate your attitude.
